in the "ejido" of Yaxcaba
as part of a day long field trip. Students and faculty toured the experimental

Student Quote of the Week
- (from Feedback form) - " This is a wonderful program! I feel so fortunate
to have been a part of these classes, this group, and all of the experiences
and learning. Please keep it coming!"
This is the third consecutive year of College of the Atlantic's winter
term in Merida, Yucatan. Each year several 12 to 18 students spend 10 weeks
experiencing the rich culture, language, and history of Mexico while taking
three related courses from COA faculty and an immersion Spanish course from
the Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan. In addition to taking courses and living
with Yucatecan families in Mérida, students also travel throughout
the peninsula on short guided field trips, complete ten days of independent
research on a final interdisciplinary project, and make an oral presentation
to faculty and fellow students. The term is currently in progress, so your're
invited to follow the links above for the latest news and activities.
